    >I went to the nurse yesterday afternoon and she checked me out and got one of the doctors to come in and check me out too (it was a doctor I hadn’t met before). Anyway the verdict is I definitely haven’t broken my nose but there is a slim chance I cracked the bone and even if I didn’t they don’t do anything for that so there is no point taking x-rays. I can expect to be in pain for at least a week tho, joy. This is me in Madrid on Sunday. It was late morning and was taken in a square in Opera. The Opera house is opposite…

    >Pictures from Madrid [Thursday Version]

    > Pictures from Madrid (scroll down to read an update about part of the trip, and as always click to view larger pictures): This is the bear statue in the Puerta del Sol in Madrid. It’s a symbol of Madrid and people often arrange to meet there. It was about ten or fiftteen minutes walk from my hotel. Kat at the restaurant on Thursday waiting for our pizzas whilst talking about the fact that everyone in Madrid carries fans like that. The Spanish Opera House. This was in a part of Madrid called Opera which was about ten minutes from my hotel but in the opposite direction to Puerta Del…

    >Lucky Girl.

    >I’m home from Madrid! I had an absolutely fabulous time for the most part but I am very very very thankful to be home as I had an accident whilst there (on Saturday afternoon) and for a while I did think I wasn’t going to be able to fly home as planned. I’ll write about my weekend over the coming days but I want to share about my accident now as Kat had difficulty understanding my thoughts and feelings after it and I’m wondering how many people will. We got a tourist bus MadridVision on Saturday and did the entire of the route we were on (Historical Madrid) before getting…

    >Leaving, on a jet plane

    >So in a little less than 14 hours from now I will be on a plane headed to Madrid! I’m getting really excited!!! Especially since Kat was able to change her plans and is now coming to meet me at the airport (with a friend who has a car which is even better). I think the fact that I texted her last night (saying that I really needed her to meet me and that I felt like I didn’t want to go if she wasn’t going to meet me) helped and also shocked her given the fact that she asked my why I’d sent her a message saying that. LOL…

    >Read and Recommended

    >In an effort to get my earlier negativity off of the top post of the page I thought I would share one of the best things about blogging. The ability to reach others with our words and the way that through reading someone else’s words our day can be brightened or a new perspective can be found (I am all about perception at the moment). It is one of the reasons why I truly love to blog and to read others blogs. So I thought I would highlight a few people. Chana has some great posts which tend to make me think… she really talks my language. I especially like…

    >A promise is a promise is a promise [unless I made the promise in which case, don’t count on it]

    >Tonight we’ve had news of a broken promise, panic attacks, tears, threats to not go to Madrid, being told to not be so silly, being told “you know what she’s like”, being told “you can do this”, crying that that’s not the point, ultimatums, arguments, a cut finger, an hour up on the water at sailability in an access dingy, a brief family history of some friends of mine, the chance to get reaquainted with someone I used to know, and a mcdonalds. All since 5pm. Is reading that enough to make your head spin? Living it certainly had mine going round and round in never ending circles. But there…

    >Party People!

    >I took a grand total of 209 photos this week (159 of which were taken at the party). I’m working on getting them all uploaded into a gallery on the main part of this webspace but at present this blog is the only part of it that works. I’m going to post a few entries with highlights tho. So for now.. a brief selection of party pics! >Disablism in “The System”

    >I am very amused by the way someone can e-mail asking you if some things they’ve been helping to arrange for you have been done and then you answer all but one which you’ve been chasing and chasing and nothing doing they then e-mail you back and say “well you obviously don’t need my help anymore, best of luck for the future then, bye.” I didn’t specifically state that I wanted her to chase this one thing BUT it falls under the description of what she asked and, well, she could have at least offered to call them. Plus it almost strikes me as she read it completely differently to…

    >Soph’s Party

    >Last night was Soph’s party and it was sooooo much fun! And it seemed like everyone had a good time to, that’s always a worry with parties. I drank a gin and tonic before we left and five or six brandy and cokes there, at least one of which was a double. I love that drink, it goes down so easy. Perhaps too easy given that at least one was put in my hand and was empty two minutes later. I was so, so, drunk and I scared my cousin Richard away. He came up behind me as I was on the dancefloor and started spinning me around and I…

    >Am I bothered?!?!

    >Ha the way I feel right now anyone could tell me anything and I’d just be like “am I bothered?!” It’s not that I don’t feel for them… it’s just that I don’t have the energy to be bothered (oh and the hangover doesn’t help either). And also this was hyped up to me by a friend of a friend (this happened to…) as something to be hugely hugely excited about and I didn’t think it was. Which makes me a bitch because if it had happened to me I’d have been all “IT’S ALL ABOUT ME”. And quite frankly, being mugged is a situation anyone has a right to…
