>You Raise Me Up

>

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit a while with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up: To more than I can be.

Westlife – You Raise Me Up

I have had so many wonderful conversations, experiences and moments over the last few days. I can’t explain it. I know what part of me believes to be the cause but I’m not sure if that’s what I truly believe or it’s just what I would like to believe.
But I’ve had good, in depth, meaningful conversations with several people. People I don’t usually talk to in my detail in a couple of cases. And in one of them I came to see that just by being there and talking to the other person and living next door to them I was helping them. I guess maybe that sounds conceited but like I said, it’s hard to explain. I just felt like I got my point accross to them and they were able to “get it” and not only that but with no help from me apply it to their situation. It’s nice to connect in that way, however fleeting it may be.

I’ve felt calm and peaceful since the Funeral and other events on Tuesday which is a good thing – a huge blessing to be honest! I’ve also done some writing I am very pleased with a read some good books. The other slightly personal thing is that my appetite is returning to normal and I no longer feel sleep deprived after naps every day since Tuesday. The person who invented naps deserves a medal.
I had great fun yesterday down on the coast for the day. I reverted back to my childhood and spent the time with my friend’s 11 year old daughter (she rocks) and I got to do silly fun things that I rarely do but that it’s traditional to do on the coast. I also got to shriek with joy when I was able to do something that is usually a huge struggle for me and I hadn’t thought I’d be able to do. I got to do it independantly too which was a huge big deal for me as I never have before and would never have believe it possible AT ALL.

Several people didn’t quite get what the big deal was and Jane commented to her mum about how excited I was and had to have it explained to her. But the best thing for me was that two or three people I’ve since told about it have been like “oh wow!!” and pleased.

Unfortunately the battery on my camera had run out by that time so big huge letters will have to do:

I got to go

on the beach

in my powerchair

and walk

around a little bit

for
a few minutes!!!!
