    >Things are a bit better this evening… I’ve taken a full dose of fluoxetine and half a dose of baclofen today (can’t take the whole dose after missing several days of any it could make me hypotonic.) I’ve gotten a few things achieved as well and I did get out of the house for a few hours. More to say but I want to get to bed so it will wait for tomorrow, I guess. > Lost: One girl’s ability to be bothered to do stuff other than sit on the computer; to have the motivation to get out of the house and to enjoy herself when finally able to get out of there. This motivation is also useful for such things as getting to work on time, taking medication, sleeping properly and eating healthily. As a result of this loss all of the above are suffering, plans are being made and not followed through on and depression and despair are common feelings. This motivation is greatly missed; if found please return via this website or e-mail to Emma[at]WheelchairPrincess[dot]com All content copyright Emma Crees, 2006…

    >Disability Blog Carnival

    >This was a post that I had intended to do yesterday but got sidetracked and never managed. The Fifth Disability Blog Carnival is now up over at Planet of the Blind. It’s topic: Travel and disability. Well, they put it much better than that but I am tired and cold (because I am an idiot and went into the garden briefly without a fleece or shoes) so that will have to do. As always it makes for very interesting reading. The Sixth Disability Blog Carnival will be on 11th Jan 2007. And I will be hosting it here. The theme: disability and how it can affect friendships/relationships (with friends, family,…

    >Now I Know I Can Handle This

    >Sometime the only way forward is to keep going and battle through. Battling through is tough, so tough but ignoring the obstacle isn’t going to work and you can’t get round it, that will just make things worse. So you battle through and it isn’t OK and you wish you weren’t doing what you’re having to. But you do have to so you make it OK, paste a happy smile on your face and keep on going. And eventually you overcome the obstacle or you find a way of assimilating it and then it is OK because you have a new normal and that is included in it. Either way…

    >Overtired birthday whining

    > Yes tis extremely late and I should be in bed especially given as yucky as I’ve felt on and off for the last few days. But as much as I had fun tonight I was seriously headed for a meltdown when I got home and was beyond relieved to shut the door behind my parents when they dropped me home and lock the world out. But I did need to wind down so to speak before bed or it would carry over. Nothing major just a long busy day and lots of little things all at once getting on top of me. The show was good and I had…

    >The GYM!

    >I just got back from THE GYM! (oh yeah, scratch the just – I’ve been back an hour) I did two sets of 12 reps each on the chest press, seated lever row, pec deck and lat pull down. Most of those were with it set on either 2 (11 kilos on most of the machines, 13 on some) or for the pec deck, 3 (15 kilos on that machine I think, maybe 18) Then I did free weights and I did two sets of 12 reps each of tricep curls and shoulder press (with a 1.5 kilo weight) and bicep curls (with a 2.5 kilo weight). Took about 40…

    >Because 1) my sister moaned at me for not updating yesterday meaning she had nothing to read when she was bored, and 2) I have several half done entries I want to finish off, here’s the third update of the day one that’s been sitting half finished on my wordpress dashboard for a week. A few weeks ago I downloaded some Disney songs from limewire. One of which was Impossible which is sung by Whitney Houston and Brandy. It’s from a version of Cinderella (but not one I’ve seen!). I love it. I thought that the lyrics worked quite well from a CP point of view, particularly the chorus. My…

    >Funny Advert

    >OK I hate Irn Bru and this is totally not politically correct and I know some parents who would be against this for moral reasons (because popular children’s characters should not be used to advertise sweets and fizzy drinks – I agree to a point) but this advert is one of the funniest ones I have seen in a long time and I just had to share:Irn Bru Advert  All content copyright Emma Crees, 2006 – 2012 unless otherwise stated http://writerinawheelchair.blogspot.com
