    >Spam, Spam, Spam!

    >I just checked my Akismet (WP’s auto spam filter) just to be sure that there wasn’t anything in there that should be. I emptied my spam on Tuesday, there weren’t any yesterday. Now I had 59 identical spam comments, from the same name, the same url but a few different IP’s which had been left every two to three minutes for over two hours. I’m sorry but that’s just pathetic. So pathetic that instead of being annoyed I feel a little sorry for the spammer. ain’t that sad?! >Life is a rollercoaster, just gotta ride it

    >I’ve had some really nice touching unexpected things happen lately which made me smile. E-mails and voice messages and packages in the post from people I was on holiday with. When I got home from work and found the card and photos Claire sent me I was soooo happy and sooo touched. And I had a good day at work today, I was really tired but when I got going and got there I felt good. No one else had understood the part of the AGM that had totally gone over my head so I don’t feel like an uneducated idiot any more. An afternoon in the sun reading Harry…

    >Reasons to be Cheerful

    >I’ve been somewhat out of sorts this last week. Not sick, but not right. I’m feeling better now though. Despite that I have managed to drink water every day for the last eight days. Somedays I could definitely have drunk more water but truthfully I can’t remember the last time I drank water on a daily basis so that’s something I’m very happy about. This week I hope to drink water everyday but not have it be something of a “token gesture” as it was on one or two days. Portion control has definitely been happening too. I’ve had so called “bad things” to eat and drink and I’ve enjoyed…

    >Starting all over again

    >I am starting this weight loss journey over from the beginning once again. I braved the scales on Saturday after last week’s uncertainty. And I managed to stand on them with just a finger for balance, taking all my weight myself. The results were shocking. I’m not ashamed of the numbers but have decided not to share them here. The numbers aren’t important. This is a new beginning for me – everything weightwise from earlier this year or years gone by is done with. Gone. I have definitely lost weight this year. And I will lose more that’s all that matters. And after being recommitted since Saturday? I was 3lb…

    >Love This Quote!

    >“I’d rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are;because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star.I’d rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far;for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are.” – Milton Berle All content copyright Emma Crees, 2006 – 2012 unless otherwise stated http://writerinawheelchair.blogspot.com

    >Odd Things

    >Not a proper entry just a random collection of odd points and observations that I wanted to mention but none of which really called for their own entry. Proper content tomorrow The new header image on this blog? A photo I took whilst onboard Tenacious. Photo taken 22nd June 2007 at some point between the hours of 4am and 6am. Judging by the amount of light I’d say probably the middle of that timespan. I managed to stand unsupported on the scales long enough to weigh myself. Let’s just say ugh. And that I now see where the JST’s concern came from. I saw my GP for a med review…

    >Snapshots of a Holiday: Isley

    >One of the Western Isles of Scotland is a small island called Isley. It is, I think, 10 miles across (but I’ve a pretty definite feeling that I’m making that up) and it’s got some beautiful scenery. It’s famous for it’s distillery I believe. And if you were part of the voyage crew on my trip it was famous for another reason. It’s the home of Denis, one of the voyage crew who was in my watch. Denis is a wonderful laugh who comes out with brilliant one liners every so often, usually totally unexpectedly. He’s done some amazing and incredible things in his life and several people commented that…

    >Just had to share this…

    >Firefox recently took it upon itself to remember details I type into boxes online frequently. Like my e-mail address, the URL of this blog (and the URL of my sister’s blog too for some reason), my name and my postcode. I don’t know why it’s suddenly started doing that but it has. So I was just commenting on some Tales from the Scales blogger’s posts and usually I type the E of my name and then it brings up the choice of Emma or my full name. Well, for some reason on this one particularly blog and it wanted to offer me a different choice. If I wanted to and…

    >Stupid Fat Girl

    >A few people have asked me if my holiday was “mixed” and unfortunately they would be right. Several people have also asked if I went aloft again. And the answer to that would be no. The two are related. Basically the very short version is that I was told that my having gone on the JST trip wasn’t a good idea and that I am too fat to go on another without losing weight. Because of my weight, I wasn’t allowed to go aloft. JST have a weight limit of 16st (14lb to a st and 2.2lb to a kilo). I might be big but I AM under that limit.…
