>You know how I wrote last week that I was never, ever going to see that “2” again?

Well, I’m up 2lb and saw that hated “2” this morning. Of course I did go to a wedding at the weekend and I did drink a lot of alcohol. Not only that but I seriously (and stupidly) mixed my alcohols. My hangover lasted two days, I’m getting old! So I’m being pleased that I didn’t gain more because truly I thought I would have.

I promised photos this week too so here goes. I’m not too sure if the 20lb ish loss shows.

This is my “before” pic which was taken when I was on holiday around the middle of June (I’m not sure what day it was taken). It’s also the pic that up until about five minutes ago was my about me pic in the sidebar.

This is my new about me pic for the sidebar and was taken Sept 15th 2007. If it looks a little weird it’s because it’s actually a photo of me and my cousin James but I cropped him out of it. I like this photo, I think you can see a few changes to my face between the june pic and this one.

Me at the reception, not a huge fan of this pic as I think it makes me look fat but I like it.

We went to my cousin’s wedding yesterday so I got myself all dressed up (photos to come) and then went to the door to let mum in.

“Hello, you look nice. Where’s your walker?”

“in my bedroom.”

“and your chair, where’s your wheelchair?”

“I’m sat in it.”

“Are you? [pause] oh yeah…”

I tell you, wheelchairs are getting more and more high tech and multipurpose every day!

>The final weigh in for the MDWLC over at Tales from the Scales is today.

And I’ve lost another 2lb.

Making a total of 20lb lost in just over two months. (although I did participate in the whole challenge, I started afresh 1st July 07 for various reasons).

My cousin gets married at the weekend; I will get someone to take an “after” photo of me when we are there and post it here soon as I can.

It won’t really be an after picture because I still have a long way to go (about another 3 stone/42lb). But it will be a good picture and something to be proud of.

Oh and John Mayer may have sung “your body is a wonderland” but MY body is in ONEderland as of today. And that’s the version I’m singing.

My body is also a wonderland and by treating it right with exercise and healthier eating it’s one I can enjoy for longer. I plan to continue this – it’s not a diet, it’s an attitude, a lifestyle.

I’ve gone from 218lb (15st 8lb) to 198lb (14st 2lb).

And I pray to God that ONEderland is where I stay. I know I’ve said this before, but I never want to see that 2 again. I really mean it this time.

>100 Books Club – Update

>I read a really interesting book today. And I’m in the middle of updating my 2007 book list spreadsheet (which really, really will will be back up here properly this week). Haven’t added in the pages of the last 8 or so books I read yet.

But I’ve read 80 Books so far this year!

Somehow I don’t feel so bad now about the fact that I’ve got 32 books (at least) that I’ve bought or been given and not read – and hey it WAS 36 but I’ve since read four of them!

Hopefully I can read a few more before my amazon parcel containing another three books arrives…

>This is a completely irrelevant post but it is my burning thought of the last ten minutes and deserves to be recorded here.

I think I shall try to go and see the Snow Queen in Oxford in November. And then, perhaps, for my birthday, a trip to Starlight Express? Loved the Snow Queen and have never seen Starlight Express.

There hasn’t been enough theatrical stuff in my life this year. But this sounds like a plan, no?

To see if that helps with weight loss etc. Reading everyone else’s food lists is really interesting and I wanted a go. But I don’t like fitday (find it hard to use) so I thought I would list everything here.

Breakfast

Rice Krispies with semi-skimmed milk
Raisins
Mangoes and Passionfruit Innocent Smoothie

Note: I usually struggle to get breakfast in so I am very pleased to have managed it and to get three portions of fruit in with it.

To work now before I am late. More later.

I was late for work because they were digging the alleyway into the park up and I had double back and go round the road way.

Snack
Two glasses of water
Three rich tea biscuits

Walked more than some days but not a huge amount and it tends to be a little more.


Lunch

Sandwich made of 1 chicken breast, scrape of flora light (I don’t like a lot) and three pieces wholemeal bread (nimble)
Coke

Mid Afternoon

Went outside with my walker and Soph. We were out for about 12 minutes, I walked a fair way, had a rest sat on my walker and then walked back. Tired and a bit breathless after but the third day running I’ve done that. Really thirsty.

400ml water.
Snacksize Ripple (90 calories but quite how they can call that “medium sized” I don’t know)

Stuck some frozen leftovers in the microwave for dinner. I thought I’d pulled out sausage casserole but I just went to give it a stir and it looks suspiciously like chicken.

Feeling a bit blah and lethargic this afternoon – my attempts at keeping myself away from the situation that screwed me over last week were not as successful as hoped.

Time for dinner, more later.

Note: I got my five a day in today! That’s something else I really struggle with.

Still really hungry. My dinner was OK but I was a bit annoyed that it wasn’t what I thought it was going to be.

No more food today. I’ve done pretty well and blogging my intake here has definitely made me think about what and whether I actually need stuff. I was doing that anyway and doing it a lot more than I ever used to. But knowing that it would be listed here was an extra impetus to stick to my diet. I may repeat this exercise a few more times.

Legs are achy after all the walking I’ve been doing. I suspect I won’t manage any tomorrow but who knows.

Evening

Two 400 ml glasses of water

Note: in addition to a 250ml smoothie and a 500ml bottle of coke, I drank 2 litres of pure water today! Which means I have met all three of the big nutritional goals that I struggle with big style.

I was down another 1lb this morning! Down 18 in total and very happy about that too 🙂
